An unknown in my life right now is what exactly goes on before I wake up or get woken up in the morning. Charlie wakes up at some hour and roams the house. Sometimes he brings in the paper, sometimes he gets dressed, sometimes he plays downstairs for who knows how long. I really don't know. Sometimes he comes to ask me a question and sometimes he doesn't. An estimate is sometime between 6:30-7:00 which is when Dave leaves for work until about 8:00. That is a long time in the eyes of a 3 1/2 year old. Am I admitting that I'm an irresponsible parent?
The other day, Dave and I got on the camera and discovered it had been hijacked by said Charlie. We were amazed at the sheer number of pictures that were taken. But it pretty accurately captures the world of Lady, our cat. (The individual pictures are really small because this is the first time I've done a collage like this. I guess I need some lessons on how to make it bigger.)

Okay, this cracked me up! And kids getting up before me is one thing I'm deathly afraid of...I'm thinking some major mischief will ensue once my boys figure it out. At least Charlie does responsible things like get dressed, bring in the paper, and document your cat's life. :) What a cute kid! The pumpkin post was adorable, too!
You're pretty trusting!! Do you really think you can trust him? I hope Dave locks the door behind himself when he leaves. But then if Charlie can go out to get the paper, he's figured the locked door out. I just worry about a weirdo casing the joint and seeing Dave say good-bye to his little kid over and over. I worry about stuff like weirdos out there.
We have put a stop to him going outside. He knows he isn't supposed to do that and we stress it pretty heavily. Pretty much the worst he does is get crackers out of the cupboard and watches TV, or in the case of this morning, snacking on Halloween treats!
Oh good! I thought the same thing when I read that. My heart stopped thinking about Charlie going outside by himself to get the paper. I'm glad you put a stop to that! I freak out about weirdos too. Once my kids are awake there is no going back to sleep. They are really loud and totally in my face. Harrison wants a nice warm bowl of oatmeal the second he wakes up in the morning. When he was still in a crib, then I could take my time getting up, but he usually only allowed about 15 minutes.
I'm not a morning person at all. I bet this has happened to you to, the morning they sleep in is the morning you find yourself awake at 6:30 and can't go back to sleep. Happens to me all the time! Frustrating! Now if only you could teach Charlie to bring you breakfast in bed - you'd be set!! That would be so awesome :)
I love how he is just stalking your cat! It's great!
