Pete signs!

Pete will be 9 months old in about a week and a half. He is such a delightful baby. Always with a smile and so easy to please. He loves to wrestle and goes for the hard stuff: pulling hair, biting, and pinching! But that can be deterred with a good retaliating tickle. Still not sleeping through the night but mom is wanting to start a regiment soon. He army crawls all over the house and takes pit stops where he hops up on his knees and rocks a bit. He even gets up on his toes London-Bridge-style but then plops right back down on his belly when he wants to go anywhere. He loves his brother Charlie so much. Always up for a good laugh. We have so much enjoyed Pete in our family.

For all you Thomas the Tank Engine fans

A little late but still worth looking at.

I did feel like a pretty cool lady.

The Incredibles

I had the idea in the middle of the night a couple weeks ago. I think it turned out pretty good. No, these are not purchased costumes. I made the "i's" out of felt and just pieced everything else together. Dave is wearing his pajama shorts for "underwear" just pinned up. I'm wearing my thigh-high stockings. I quickly sewed Charlie's "underwear", arm and leg bands.

Elasta Girl, Dash, Jack Jack, Mr. Incredible, and Violet (invisible).

Dash eating the donut on a string.

The costume parade.

This is Jack Jack just after he burst into flames.

Halloween Night:

This was Charlie's first time going trick-or-treating. Last year we were in Las Vegas for my brother's wedding. Trick-or-treating was interesting in Southern Maryland. The evening air was very humid and sticky but incredibly warm. We just went around our little townhouse neighborhood. Lots of people were out sitting on their porches passing out candy. A few people had opened up their garages and decorated them all scary. It was a very friendly way to pass out candy. Kind of a block party feeling. Loved it!

This is how we found Dave and Pete when Charlie and I came home from trick-or-treating. Apparently being along with Pete does something to ya. Just kidding. Nothing could be further from the truth. Pete is the perfect baby.

The Loot! Pretty good for a 2-year-old's first time.
