crafty lately

I usually get pretty "knitty" during the holidays. My mom and I are pros at grabbing a down day and knitting by the fire ALL DAY. Here are some fruits of my labor:

I started this project awhile back but finally put him all together. He has beads in his bum to weight him down. This gnome needs a name! Any suggestions?

I totally made up this cat hat! I love the fuzzy ears. It is for my little niece who lives in Bozeman, MT.

Treats we made for friends this year.

These are Pete's slippers. Charlie has some matching blue ones. Super easy and fast.

I'm itching for another project. Maybe I'll start a baby sweater for our BABY GIRL coming in May/June!!

What would a certain niece in Orem, Utah need to do to put herself on your waiting list for a kitty hat? And are those two pictures of the same cat hat? I ask because the colors look different, but maybe that's just the lighting?

Oooh, I got it. Thaddeus.

She posts! She walks! She talks! She crawls on her belly like a snake! That gnome looks female--Gnellie. Gnatalie--because she was born at Christmas and all. I saw those slipper bottoms in Hobby Lobby the other day, and they cost $13!!!!!!!!!! Yowzer!! Getting a whole big old bag of them at a yard sale for a buck was a deal.

Whoa whoa, back up! The beard rules out the female thing! Sorry. I lost my head. Gniles. Gnicolas. Gnorthrup. Course some days I see a beard coming in, so maybe your gnome is post menopausal and has jusst let herself go...
