Reach for the stars

I teach my boys from day one that they can be anything they want to be. All they have to do is reach!

More of Pete

Pete didn't open his eyes much today. We are loving his so much. It is such a different experience this time than it was with Charlie. We are a lot more relaxed about things, which is nice.

Nice dark hair, it is thicker and longer in the back.

Worth the wait

Baby brother's name: Peter John Myers
Weight: 9 lbs. 2 oz. !!! (Charlie was 7 lbs. 9 oz.)
Length: 21 1/2"
Born: 2/19/09 @ 17:21

Pete came out a little purple, but was looking great a few minutes later

Getting checked out.

Pete's face is too chubby for him to open his eyes very much. When he does it is usually just his left eye, which gives him nice Popeye charm.

"I yam what I yam!"

Charlie was super excited to meet baby brother.

He can't wait to help out and show Pete all the neat things little boys do.

Grandma gets her turn.

Everyone is doing fine and relieved to finally have him join us. We will keep posting as the adorable pictures come.

Good reads

Grandma did come to help with the new baby, but this is the REAL reason she has come to visit:

A Bumpy Ride

Baby Boy Myers #2 was due Feb. 12th. My mother flew in last Wed. (11th). We've been having a great time playing, waiting, and playing some more. We've been to the library, checked out every Gilmore Girls DVD we could get our hands on, been to the movies, made bread, potato soup, knitted our socks off!

I'm sure all of our family and friends are wondering what is happening. That is just it...nothing has been happening in the way of a baby being born. As of Tues. (17th) at 9:10 pm, nothing has happened yet. We have a date for induction on Thur. (19th) at 7:00 am. If nothing happens before then, that will be the day.

I've been trying every remedy in the book (except Castor oil) to get the ball rolling. I found several websites that recommended "A bumpy ride in a car". We thought of something better. Dave took us on a tour of the base in a Humvee, trying to hit every bump he could. Charlie doesn't know what a lucky boy he really is! He kept saying it was really loud, though.

However, after all that effort, I'm still sitting on the couch, typing this, with a baby in the belly...

Cute boys at the park

Charlie, Lucas, and Kale.

Poor Kale took a nose dive into the dirt. Sorry, it was just to0 funny and cute to not laugh, Kale!

Fun with flour

Charlie and I had some fun making Valentine cookies. His "cheeeeeese" face is a little askew.
