Charlie laughing-almost 5 months

Yes, I have come to the point of doing just about anything to get my baby to laugh. And, yes, those are my pajamas. I suppose every parent goes through a bit of humiliation for the whole laughing cause. And we finally caught it on tape!

Charlie discovers his voice.

At night, when he gets up to feed, I put him back down to sleep without much effort and he usually goes right back to sleep. But lately he lays in his crib for about 15 mins, making funny noises and kind of singing to himself like you see here in the video.

Skinny pajamas

This is Charlie's famous look: the raised eyebrows and alert look
Enjoying the skinny pajamas just before bedtime...

4 months old!

Charlie absolutely LOVES bathtime and this is his favorite toy...the cup that keeps getting him wet! Sometimes he holds it like he is drinking out of it.
All wrapped up!
Dave decided to try out the Johnny Jumper. Charlie took to it pretty well, though, the first time he put him in it, the tray came up to his chin. So we put a blanket underneath to boost him up. Now it looks like his legs are super short! He doesn't bounce much yet, he just kind of spins around on one foot.

University of MN Arboretum

Sat. May 12, we took a drive to the arboretum. It is a huge horticulture place with every tree and plant you can imagine. The spring blossoms were beautiful! I especially like the Japanese garden. The weather was a little overcast but still warm and the perfect light to take pictures.

Senior Design Show

David and 4 others designed a product to treat cystic fibrosis. He set up a "sweat shop" with a sewing machine and surger in our front room for 3 days as it was his job to sew the vest that encased the ingenious design that just may CHANGE THE WORLD...or at least it will "promote world peace", as Dave puts it.

The mannequin's name is Vince. The man wearing the vest is the group's advisor and that is his wife in the picture above.
